All Sorts of Happiness These DaysMAR 10 08If you haven't tried Google Reader, and you want a never ending supply of updated news, try it out; it appears to be an excellent source for our search for happiness. Here are some recent finds such as longer life for some short people. Hey Babe, you might have a longer time to search for happiness, doesn't that make you happy? Check this one out - All I can say is what the fat? I'm happy for this article, because I have a hard time getting people to believe me, even after they have read the hundred plus pages of my book. I'm happy that individuals are studying the cold, fat facts. Although, I wouldn't mind getting published before these damn articles I read about my Fatties make my conclusions less pertinent. Fatties out there, I feel your love handles. And how about this - I would imagine I know some girls that would disagree with this article. Compared with sexually harassed workers, employees on the receiving end of raging-boss behaviors and other forms of workplace aggression reported lower overall well-being, less job satisfaction and less satisfaction with their bosses; they were also more likely to quit their jobs. While some might point to this as another sign of the emasculation of American culture, I'm pleased with the recognition that the workplace should no longer be a haven for the Alpha-holes among us. CommentsSat, 15 Mar 2008 15:16:47 So us shorties are going to live to 100, can't wait. :) I have to say I think i agree with the agressive workplace article. I've never had to deal with sexual harrassment, so this is not a comparison... but I was sure miserable at work for about 3 months while everyone was back-biting and critical of each other. It seems to have worked itself out now, just in time for me to leave. Go figure. Matt Sun, 16 Mar 2008 16:06:47 I'm hoping we live to see these discoveries not only extend our lives, but extend our good health. I love to read these kinds of stories; they give me hope for a better future we may just be around to experience. Although I doubt all of the science in the world will ever change the aggressive workplace. Leave a Reply |
